Integrated thinking: Connected security for smart infrastructure

A confluence of several trends has put border security and the protection of critical national infrastructure (CNI) right at the top of governmental priorities around the world.

From Cairo to Copenhagen, nowhere is insulated from the global terror threat, an incipient cyber war between states and enormous migration flows.

Borders and infrastructure encompasses central and local government, transport and utilities, sports stadia and events, logistics, border security and law enforcement and any other sectors critical to the functioning of a country’s economy or civil society.

The global market for perimeter security – a key component of protecting CNI – is estimated to be worth US$21bn by 2020, growing at 8% CAGR during 2015-2021, according to market research analysts Research and Markets.

Recognising this growing demand IFSEC International is launching Borders & Infrastructure Expo for its 2017 edition. Sponsored by Genetec,  which has many customers in the enterprise/CNI space, Borders & Infrastructure Expo will take place between 18-20 June 2019 as part of IFSEC International and the wider Protection & Management Series.

The event incorporates the Drone ZoneBRE Global/LPCB Attack Testing Zone and VIP Meeting Service.
